Red carpet at the Eiffel Tower to celebrate 10 years of SKEMA

31 December 2019 Events

On December 12th, this emblematic Parisian landmark was the place to be!

Despite the torrential rain and the strikes, 230 alumni got together for SKEMA’s tenth anniversary. This event with a touch of glamour was an opportunity to celebrate SKEMA’s alumni network.

Organised by the highly dynamic SKEMA Alumni department, this evening will remain etched in the memories of all who attended : “A memorable night in a unique and magical location”, Ludovic Holinier (SK 1990) ; “A prestigious evening in an exceptional setting, conviviality, a sense of being among family, everyone in high spirits... it feels great to be at SKEMA’s 10th anniversary!”, Nabil Behloul (SK 2006). “This tenth anniversary was a huge success,” said Anne-Sophie Duchamp, General Manager of SKEMA Alumni.

The orchestra, a jazz band and a magician provided entertainment throughout the cocktail reception. The selfie booth supplied by Selfie & Co attracted a number of guests wanting to capture a photo of the celebration as a souvenir.

The dean of the school, Alice Guilhon, and Jean-Philippe Courtois (SK 1983), chairman of the Board of Directors, thanked and congratulated the alumni for their presence at this anniversary celebration but also for the school’s success. “We have created the school of our dreams thanks to you,” stated Alice Guilhon.

“Today, SKEMA offers its students the world. Over the space of ten years, we have proven that anything is possible. At the dawn of our third strategic plan, we are challenging the world’s top schools,” added SKEMA’s dean.

In her speech, Alice Guilhon briefly presented the school’s major areas of focus for the coming years and the plans for the future Grand Paris campus. She also spoke about the “Naming” campaign that will contribute to this big project. (For more information about this, click here).

During his address, Jean-Philippe Courtois spoke about SKEMA’s extraordinary evolution over the past ten years. “We have gone from being just a business school to being an international knowledge management school that can continue to rise and expand thanks to SKEMA’s DNA, its graduates.” The chairman of the Board wished to convey a message to the alumni: “We are counting on you and your investment. It’s the American concept of Give & Get: when you give, you get a great deal in return. The position we hold today is just the start of what we have planned and you are part of the adventure!”

“A prestigious event!” said Véronique Delor (SK 2002), SKEMA Alumni treasurer.

The evening was convivial, joyous and even moving. Many of the school’s employees contributed to this success. Without them and without the 230 alumni present, this anniversary would not have been the same. We want to thank everyone who made this event an unforgettable moment.

Thank you all for your participation!

Long live SKEMA!
