“How can we turn the great resignation into the great reimagination”?

01 November 2022 Events

This highly relevant theme was discussed extensively at the autumn event held on 18 October at PwC Luxembourg. Some thirty alumni from the classes of 1996 to 2021 were present. “Creating, imagining, remedies for modern ills.”

This intergenerational event was organised with our ambassador, Corentin Huot (SKEMA 2017), Manager Digital Services at PwC, and David Schaefer (SKEMA 2009), Tax Partner at PwC.

The event, attended by the Alumni Relations Coordinator, Audrey Touyon, was an ideal opportunity for the Luxembourg network to reconnect after the “COVID period”, welcome some newly-arrived expats, catch up with some ex-ambassadors of the Luxembourg club (thanks to Aymeric Vigin from the Class of 2005 and Céline Crahay from the Class of 2003), and be brought up to date on the latest news of the school and the network (650 alumni in Luxembourg, out of a 54,000-strong alumni network).

It was also a chance to remind the alumni of the different possibilities for active involvement in the spirit of “Give & Take” (such as participating in the entrance exam jury panels on the Lille, Paris and Sophia Antipolis campuses in spring 2023, mentoring students, recruiting interns and/or alumni, giving a talk to students, sharing experience with alumni at events, doing philanthropy work and, in the case of new graduates, answering ranking surveys).

The interview with Lieven Lambrecht, Head of HR at PwC, conducted with enthusiasm by David Schaefer, gave rise to constructive and interactive discussions about what the alumni take this theme to mean, and was accompanied by a live Wooclap animation.

We’ll see you in June for the entrance exam jury panels in Lille, Paris (the new campus in Suresnes) or Sophia-Antipolis! Keep your SKEMA Alumni profile updated to receive information!

Feedback from our alumni

“Great reopening of the SKEMA Alumni network with an interesting discussion on a key topic for all employers and employees: how to match employees’ values and meet their expectations. Looking forward to meeting with the network again and getting engaged in the various activities the alumni group offers around the globe. Thank you, Audrey, for reminding us we are more than 54k alumni!”
Laura Delpey (SKEMA 2009), Audit Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg

“Great sharing of experience on a hot topic; I appreciated the charisma and experience of the Head of HR from PwC, as well as the fun and interactive format during the talk!”

“As the parent of a young graduate of the Class of 2022, I especially appreciated participating in this event and seeing old classmates with whom I’d lost touch.”

“Thank you, Audrey, for the invitation. It was a great event. The speakers were amazing!”
Emilia Salaga (SKEMA 2012), Manager BI Invest Endowment Management

Thank you to our two ambassadors, Corentin and David, for their commitment and for hosting us at PwC!
