30 years later... an emotional reunion!

07 November 2022 Events

70 alumni of the PGE Class of 1992 got together in the south of France on 15 October.

In a festive, memory-filled atmosphere, the reunion started in the morning on SKEMA’s Sophia Antipolis campus and continued in the evening with dinner on a beach in Cannes with feet in the sand.

Some of the attendees had travelled a long way to be there (Canada, Reunion Island, Luxembourg). The class was greeted on campus by the Alumni and Fundraising department and by the team in charge of the Grande École programme. The alumni were astounded to see the power of the network and how their programme had evolved over 30 years. They also discovered a campus that looks completely different now, but some recognised their classroom, their student society, and especially the small amphitheatre where the most sensitive would say that “lives were changed”. And let’s not forget Remy’s surprise for his classmates – a very moving text filled with memories and thanks aimed at his alma mater.

After 30 years, what else? The vast majority of the alumni were inspired to support SKEMA and be a jury member for the next entrance exams, recruit interns in their company, or contribute to the school’s philanthropy programme.

In their own words:

Catherine B. – “Reconnecting with people I’d lost touch with for 30 years, and taking a dip in the fountain of youth!”

Sandrine M. – “The intense emotions, the tears of joy, the kisses and hugs...”

Valerie V. – “The feeling of belonging to a close-knit class.”

Pascale K. – “Hearty congratulations once again and big thanks for this wonderful welcome at SKEMA. It was an extraordinary reunion. You really spoiled us and the presentation of all the evolutions since CERAM was very interesting, although it did remind us just how much time has gone by.”

Laurence and Pierre LL – “For us, SKEMA is a family affair. Our son is now a BBA student at Sophia!”
