Jeanne Gulchak (SK 2017), founder of La Jeannette, a leather accessories brand in Lille!

15 October 2018 Course
We met Jeanne, a young designer incubated for 2 years at Maisons de Mode à Roubaix, at the Entrepreneurs’ Club* pitch session held in Lille (TechShop Leroy Merlin) on 16 October 2018. Audrey Touyon spoke to her on behalf of SKEMA Alumni! (photo album)

Jeanne, a young graduate who completed the PGE programme as an apprenticeship, launched her own brand of leather goods (limited editions, leather accessories) on 14 December 2017! What’s different about this brand is that the workshop where the goods are produced is in Jeanne’s country of origin, the Ukraine, and more particularly in the combat zone between Ukraine and Russia! “It’s important for me to keep the seamstresses in employment,” says Jeanne.

She has just opened a boutique at 101 avenue Jean-Baptiste Lebas in Roubaix, right in the heart of Maisons de Mode, guaranteeing great visibility for this collection of leather handbags, each named after a street in Old Lille! Jeanne also sells card holders, wallets and purses, jewellery, and bespoke leather accessories.

Today, Jeanne is turning to the alumni community to grow her B2B network with the aim of getting her products sold in major retail chains.
