The SKEMA Alumni Singapore Club ended 2017 in the future!...

15 January 2018

...By participating in the great inter-associations event on the theme of artificial intelligence, held on 14 December on the ESSEC’s Singapore campus.

Over the course of a lively debate that lasted nearly two hours, experts with different and sometimes conflicting points of view fascinated us as they presented information about the current state of progress in AI and, more importantly, their predictions for the future.

Here are some of the stand-out statements made at the event: “Artificial intelligence has won at Chess, Poker, and even at Go, but has not yet managed to win at Bridge!"
"We are going to turn into a new species that will be a combination of human and robot."
"The accounting profession will no longer exist by 2030."
"The day artificial intelligence reaches the human level, everything will change…"

Thank you to the organisers, sponsors, and talented panelists: David Marchesseau (SAP), Elodie Hecq (BeeBryte), Thomas Jestin (KRDS), Herve Rannou (Cityzen Data) and Pierre Robinet (OgilvyRed APAC). Thanks also to all the SKEMA alumni who came along!

We wish you all an excellent new year. See you soon for the next events in Singapore! SKEMA Alumni Singapore
