Ali Emami is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Brock University and an Adjunct Professor at SKEMA Business School. He holds a BSc in Physics & Computer Science, and an MSc and PhD in Computer Science from McGill University and the Montreal Institute of Learning Algorithms (Mila). His work has consisted of developing and evaluating pioneering systems in Machine Learning towards progress in natural language understanding. He has also been actively involved in applying his innovations to a variety of real-word domains and sectors, including those in transportation, healthcare, robotics, games, finance, and conversational agents.
