Speakers' biographies :

Guillaume Laidet (SK 2009) founder of William L. 1985

After several years working for the most prestigious Swiss manufactures, Guillaume decided to create his own brand in October 2015, raising nearly 200,000 euros in barely a month via Kickstarter!

The concept? Democratize watchmaking, breaking traditional codes by offering affordable quality watches. His vintage-inspired models are inspired by an old chronograph from the 1950s, inherited from his great-great-uncle. This family jewel, once restored, quickly aroused the interest of his friends, but the price remained a real barrier to purchase. Thus was born the William L. 1985 project: to offer a quality product at an unbeatable price. The brand is now distributed in over 300 points of sale in 25 countries, including France, Spain, Belgium, Japan and Russia.

Jonathan Algaze (SK 2011), founder of Topi Games

Jonathan launched his start-up "TOPI GAMES" 4 years ago after several experiences in major French groups (Engie, Bouygues Télécom and Schneider Electric).Following the success of his MEMOTEP game - a board game for learning languages while having fun, awarded at the Lépine competition and winner of Graine de Boss - Topi Games was founded to produce even more surprising and enriching games!Board games have always been the cornerstone of family bonding. Topi Games aims to perpetuate this tradition, while bringing a modern and fun twist: connected board games with mobile applications available free of charge.

Today Topi Games has a team of 12 people and offers a range of over 40 games distributed in over 5,000 sales outlets in France. After two successful fund-raising campaigns, Topi Games is gearing up for a third!
