Market and nonmarket strategy in a world of high technology conflict with Vinod K. Aggarwal

Conference

High technology conflict is the order of the day, with increasing tensions among the United States, China, and the European Union, among others.

Traditionally analysts have attempted to separate business and politics, but this distinction is no longer valid.

Governments today are aggressively pursuing what Andrew Reddie and Vinod K. Aggarwal have labeled “new economic statecraft.”

This statecraft includes behind the border, at the border, and beyond the border strategies that affect trade and investment.

Firms must increasingly understand the nonmarket context within which they operate and need to understand the integration of market and nonmarket strategies and tactics to achieve success in the global economy.
