Grégoire Maurice (SK 2002), co-founder of LGG in Lille!

03 October 2018 Course

Grégoire, an entrepreneur who is passionate about the great outdoors, changed career directions after working several years at INRIA. We met him at the Entrepreneurs’ Club* pitch session held in Lille (TechShop Leroy Merlin) on 16 October 2018, where Audrey Touyon had a chat with him on behalf of SKEMA Alumni! (photo album)

After graduating from the Advanced Master’s in Communication Strategy and Management programme in 2002, I embarked on a first entrepreneurial venture in fair-trade cotton with Max Havelaar France. I then built up my experience in business development and project management for 15 years in the retail, software and R&D sectors.

Launched in 2017, Le Green Griot is a brand of nomadic, elegant, clever and durable eco-friendly products made in France, for gardening, being out and about, and for nap time.
"Our eco-friendly products are made by recycling scraps from the production lines of textile factories in Northern Europe and are 100% made in France (Armentières, Cambrai and Lens) in co-production with inclusive manufacturers and workshops employing the disabled, the long-term unemployed."

Founded by 3 partners, LGG is currently on the lookout for new distribution channels and is seeking investors to accelerate its development.
We are planning to launch a research & development programme to recycle our textile waste and end-of-life products, as well as those of our partners.
