Julien Reiss-Herrault (SKEMA 2004), Ambassador of the Nantes Chapter

12 November 2024 Interview

Could you briefly tell us about your career since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador for the SKEMA Alumni Nanteschapter ?

After spending some time with the pharmaceutical company that hosted my work-study program, I founded an operational marketing consultancy. I then joined an IT services company specializing in social real estate, where I set up a marketing department. This experience led me to launch a company in the agri-food sector. After the sale of this company, I had the opportunity to work for a central purchasing agency for independent opticians. Wishing to give more meaning to my career, I decided to retrain in the social field, which led me to join the Apprentis d'Auteuil Foundation, where I am now in charge of an integration through entrepreneurship program.

Becoming an ambassador for the SKEMA Alumni Nantes chapter enables me to pursue this path by helping others while developing a solid and enriching network.

How do you plan to energize and animate the SKEMA Alumni Nantes chapter of which you are the ambassador? Could you share a few ideas for events or initiatives you'd like to put in place?

I'd like to continue organizing conferences and discussion forums, and I'm also planning "open days" to enable alumni to discover various local structures.

What message would you like to convey to alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the SKEMA Alumni Nantes chapter?

The professional world is a small one, especially around Nantes, where companies appreciate local exchanges. Beyond the enriching encounters, discovering local companies is always an asset, and the multi-generational aspect of the Nantes chapter is a real plus.
