Street art comes to SKEMA: the Grand Paris campus becomes a living gallery
Last month, SKEMA Business School launched Art on Campus, an ambitious cultural initiative that is transforming the Grand Paris campus into a vibrant space for artistic expression. Around a hundred works of street art are now on display, inviting students, faculty, staff and alumni to experience art as part of their everyday life.
Titled Business as (un)usual, the exhibition represents a unique encounter between the worlds of management and contemporary creation.
In the agora, a monumental fresco by Bault, a rising figure in French street art, catches the eye and sparks reflection. His colourful characters engage with SKEMA’s next generation of business leaders, creating a striking and meaningful contrast.
This initiative highlights a powerful parallel: art and business share the same ability to anticipate, interpret and influence the world. Here, the school becomes a gallery, and the gallery becomes a school.
An immersive and collective experience
The Art on Campus project, developed with Nicolas Laugero Lasserre, a collector, curator and street art specialist, goes far beyond a traditional exhibition.
It offers an immersive, evolving experience that places creativity at the heart of daily campus life.
In the corridors, common areas and classrooms alike, the artworks explore themes of freedom, responsibility, society and the purpose of innovation. They remind us that learning also thrives on curiosity, perception and emotional awareness.
A dialogue for every generation in the SKEMA community
The project is aimed at the entire SKEMA community: students, professors, staff and alumni.
It embodies the values that unite all Skemans: boldness, openness, creativity and commitment.
By using art to spark reflection and inspiration, SKEMA is strengthening the connection between training, transformation and innovation.
SKEMA’s alumni are invited to (re)discover the campus during #StreetDays, a full programme of talks, guided tours, masterclasses and opportunities to meet artists, running throughout the academic year.
π¬ One school, one gallery, one community
With Business as (un)usual, SKEMA is reaffirming its ambition to break down barriers between disciplines and foster dialogue between different fields of knowledge.
The project perfectly captures the spirit of a school that trains creative, open-minded leaders attuned to how the world is changing. This exhibition sends a clear message to alumni: let’s dare, create and inspire, together.
