The seminar is organised by SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI).

 

The Research Seminar Series organised by the Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence convenes faculty, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and alumni for in-depth discussions by recognised scholars on how artificial intelligence creates business, ethical and societal value. The goal of the series is to stimulate interdisciplinary research, campus-wide interactions and networking.

 

AUDIENCE:

 

Anyone interested in the subject. No prior knowledge is required. Each seminar is an opportunity to develop reflection and debate with top scholar speakers.

René Bohnsack
Professor of Strategy & Innovation and Startup Founder

René Bohnsack, PhD, is Professor of Strategy and Innovation and an expert in the field of business model innovation, digital transformation and sustainable innovation.

René has published his research in leading international management and innovation journals (e.g. Research Policy, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of International Business Studies), received the Best Paper Award at the Academy of Management ONE Division in 2019, in Sustainable Entrepreneurship in 2016, and the 3rd Prize for Best Innovation Management Paper in 2013. René is the Academic Director of the Lisbon MBA and heads the Digital+Sustainable Innovation Lab at Católica-Lisbon, which works on advanced business model innovation and wellness in urban areas via sustainable technologies and digital transformation.

In addition to his academic achievements, René is also a passionate entrepreneur and has founded several businesses, including a virtual events platform (SCOOCS.co), an e-health company (fitbase.de) and a business modeling platform (venturely.io).
