18 months after its launch, SKEMA PUBLIKA continues to shed fundamental insights into the major issues shaking the contemporary world. The think tank analyzes early signs and provide public decision-makers with concrete answers adapted to today's transitions and influences.

Here's a look back at our latest activities and publications.

Our latest publications

  • Sport

From the Rugby World Cup 2023 to the Paris Olympics 2024, sport is omnipresent. On July 11, we published the first volume of the groundbreaking report "The Future of Sport: Needs and Ideas of International Youth for Use by Policymakers", peer-reviewed by the UNESCO. The first part presents the results of a survey based on nearly 7.6 million tweets posted by over 670,000 young people aged 18 to 24. The second volume will focus on the adaptation of major public policies and will be published at the end of this year.

To coincide with the Women's FIFA World Cup (July 20th to August 20th 2023), Jean-Baptiste Guégan, author and specialist in the geopolitics of sport, published two articles on broadcast rights: “Broadcasting the 2023 Women’s World Cup: A Chance To Make a Difference” and “France will broadcat the 2023 Women's World Cup” (in French only).

Last March, Simon Chadwick published an article on the global governance of sport. In the article "Sport in Europe Faces Governance Challenges As the Growth of Multipolarism Confronts It", he analyzed the end of Europe's hegemonic position, challenged by North America and the geopolitical aspirations of the Global South.

  • Economics

Amaury Goguel, Scientific Director of the MSc Financial Management and Investment, published an in-depth analysis of the Chinese economic situation entitled "The extent of the imbalances in Chinese economic growth: challenges and prospects". In this report, he identified the 3 main challenges faced by China’s economy and 8 priority economic policy recommendations.

  • Finance

Last March, as part of a global report on corporate duty of vigilance, Diane de Saint-Affrique professor of Law at SKEMA, published the first results of a consultation with NGOs: " Due Diligence: What do NGOs Think of France’s 2017 Duty of Vigilance Act?”. In this first part, Diane de Saint-Affrique collected the 7 recommendations that NGOs address to companies.

  • Influence

In a changing world of firece international competition, influence is key. In her report

"Influence and Counter-Influence in 2023: Forms, Actors, Excesses and Strategies” published last February, Claude Revel provides a new perspective adapted to today's realities. To mark the occasion, Claude Revel gave an interview to Marianne magazine.
