Adrien De La Grange (SKEMA 2006), Finance Business Club Ambassador

07 May 2025 Interview

Could you briefly tell us about your career since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador for the Finance Business Club ?

My career path took me from the Côte d'Azur to the United Kingdom, via Germany. As a member of theclass of 2006, I joined BlackRock via the graduate program as soon as I graduated. The journey lasted 17 years and took me to Paris to develop the platform for institutional clients. Curious, I adopted the "student of the market" mindset and took advantage of my time at one of the world's finest financial institutions to gather as much experience as possible and learn from every moment. Now I'm entering a new phase in my career, I'd like to share my experience with the SKEMA community and help build bridges between alumni, students and future students.

How do you plan to energize and enliven the Finance Business Club of which you are the ambassador? Could you share a few ideas for events or initiatives you'd like to put in place?

First of all, I'd like to raise awareness of the Club's creation and distinguish the Market Finance section. The courses are increasingly à la carte, and with a growing community, it's important to create links between campuses and generations in a "pro-business" spirit. The idea would be to organize meetings on a biannual basis, with a growing number of participants, by bringing together a number of key figures from the alumni network.

What message would you like to pass on to alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the Finance Business Club ?

If I could pass on one message to alumni, I'd simply say that the club can be an incredible forum for (re)energizing one's own career path, tackling new subjects in a spirit of "student of the market" continuing education, and potentially creating new business or career opportunities?
