The Toronto Club swap tips during their French dinner

22 November 2019 Events

Some twenty alumni jumped at the chance to get together in Toronto on 7 November 2019, for a French dinner and to share local tips.

And what better venue for this event than an edgy restaurant that fosters a sense of community? Reserved for our private event that night, The Depanneur gave Chef Chantal free rein to express her culinary talents through dishes that our Toronto Club alumni usually only find in France.

Three alumni also got the opportunity to make an announcement of their choosing:

  • Muriel Richard (SK 2012) would like to start a programme that allows newcomers to Toronto to find a job locally and be welcomed by the SKEMA Alumni community. A good idea to develop!
  • Alexia Kowalski (2011), who’s lived in Toronto for nine years, talked about her inspiring career in marketing in Canada. She also announced that she recently became a Canadian citizen. Congratulations, Alexia!
  • Aurélie Doche (SK 2010), a Club ambassador, explained how important it is to have a credit card in Canada, and all the associated benefits. Thanks for the reminder!

And as if all that weren’t enough, thanks to Club ambassador Fahad Nawaz (SK 2013) who works at Linkedin, the alumni who attended this dinner were given a free Linkedin Premium licence for the year. Just what they needed to continue to network, find inspiration and build their careers... Thanks a lot!

More Toronto Club get-togethers will be organised in 2020. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and keep an eye on the SKEMA Alumni events calendar.
