Mathias Bargallo (SKEMA 2011), Ambassador of the Luxembourg Chapter
Could you tell us a little about your journey since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador of the SKEMA Alumni Luxembourg Chapter?
After graduating from SKEMA in 2011, I moved to Luxembourg to join Deloitte as an auditor. I then specialised in the banking sector and was recruited by JPMorgan to work in their risk department. Next, as a consultant, I worked with international banks and investment companies to help them achieve their governance, risk management and regulatory compliance objectives. I currently work for Fisher Investments (USA) as Head of Risk Management and Compliance for their European hub. This year, I wanted to become an ambassador for SKEMA's Luxembourg chapter to connect with other alumni, help new graduates better understand the Luxembourg market, and continue to raise the school's profile abroad.
As ambassador, how do you plan to bring energy and life to the Luxembourg chapter? Can you share any ideas for initiatives or for events you’d like to run?
I want to contribute to the Luxembourg chapter by making myself available to answer our alumni’s questions, by organising formal and informal events ranging from after-work get-togethers to conferences, and by fostering dynamic interaction between the school and its alumni.
What message would you like to send to our alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the SKEMA Alumni Luxembourg Chapter?
My message to all alumni is that the more numerous we are and the more active we are as a network, the better it will be for our future and that of our school.
