Pascal Conan (SKEMA 2009), Ambassador of the Supply Chain Business Club

22 August 2025 Interview

Could you briefly tell us about your career since graduating from SKEMA and what motivated you to become an ambassador for the Supply Chain Business Club?

After graduating in 2009 (valedictorian), I first consolidated my experience in SC management (fresh produce) by developing solutions to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction. In 2013, as Auchan was planning to launch an international sales initiative, I took up the challenge of building a sourcing business from scratch (10 countries and 20 warehouses) within the Auchan own-brand project, as head of the FMCG group.
In 2020, I was appointed International Food Supply Chain Leader (director level, member of 2 CODIRs) to support the industrialization of the private label policy and optimize end-to-end performance on an international scale. Over the years, I have guided my teams towards high, sustainable performance.

Today, I'm embarking on a new entrepreneurial challenge: putting my know-how, local knowledge and leadership skills to work in my own consulting business. To further sharpen my skills in my field, I'm going to round off my expertise with targeted certifications and training courses: Supply Chain Audits (in the process of becoming a certified auditor), digitalization (KEDGE), lean management (black belt) and, of course, AI. My aim is to support companies in optimizing and digitally transforming their Supply Chain, right up to AI, by combining strategic vision and operational pragmatism.

I wanted to become a Supply Chain Ambassador to share my experience and highlight the challenges of digitalization and sustainability that are transforming our business. This role is also an opportunity to animate the community by organizing inspiring events and meetings, encouraging networking and the sharing of experience between young graduates and experienced profiles, while capitalizing on the richness of the alumni network.

How do you see your role as ambassador for the Supply Chain Business Club? Could you share a few ideas for events or initiatives you'd like to set up?

As an ambassador, my aim is to actively participate in the creation of a community and bring it to life in a useful and inspiring way. Here are a few ideas:

  • Organizing round tables or conferences with alumni experts and/or SC speakers
  • Highlighting creative alumni who have made a success of their career through presentations and testimonials.
  • Thematic meetings: meetings around key topics such as the role of AI in SC and how it is appropriated, the sustainability or resilience of supply chains, the challenges & risks of SC in a VUCA world.
  • Afterworks networking / evenings to encourage informal exchanges between alumni and strengthen the bond of proximity.
  • Possibility: Create bridges and links with other SKEMA Alumni Clubs (innovation, finance, entrepreneurship) to cross-fertilize expertise.

What message would you like to convey to alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the Supply Chain Business Club?

Joining SKEMA's Supply Chain Club means becoming part of a collaborative community where exchanges between alumni and the contributions of inspiring professionals enrich each and every one of us. Together, we create a collective dynamic that encourages the sharing of experience, promotes networking, strengthens ties within the network and highlights the major transformations taking place in the supply chain.
