Brahim Nogueira (SKEMA 2023), Ambassador of the Dubai Chapter

Could you tell us a little about your journey since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador of the SKEMA Alumni Dubai Chapter?

After completing the Grande École programme in 2023, with an international academic journey that took me from Sophia Antipolis to Brazil, via an internship in Dubai, I rounded off my studies with a one-year specialisation in Entrepreneurship and New Technologies at UC Berkeley in the United States. My goal was clear from the start: gain experience abroad, discover new cultures, and develop a versatile profile with a strong tech component.
Today, I'm based in Dubai, where I work as a Blockchain Strategy Manager for a real estate investment fund, developing innovative solutions based on blockchain and crypto, two sectors that are booming here. Becoming an ambassador for SKEMA’s Dubai chapter is a way for me to actively contribute to the thriving alumni network, to give something back to my school, and to facilitate access to the many opportunities that this unique city has to offer.

As ambassador, how do you plan to bring energy and life to the SKEMA Alumni Dubai Chapter? Can you share any ideas for initiatives or for events you’d like to run?

With the recent opening of the SKEMA campus in Dubai in 2024, we alums have a great opportunity to structure and strengthen the local alumni community. Our aim is to create a real network of exchange and mutual support through targeted initiatives such as:

• Sector-specific events: sessions dedicated to finance, consulting, marketing or tech, a particularly dynamic field in Dubai.
• Mentoring and matchmaking: connecting experienced alumni with newcomers to speed up their integration and multiply career opportunities.
• Workshops and talks: capitalise on the potential of the campus by inviting external experts to speak on key topics. The idea is to keep abreast of key trends and to continue learning in a stimulating environment.
• Collaboration with students: support entrepreneurial and other student-led projects on campus and build intergenerational bridges within the alumni community.

All with one clear goal: to make the chapter a true hub for professional and personal networking, where everyone can find opportunities, learn, be inspired and share their own knowledge and experience.

What message would you like to send to our alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the SKEMA Alumni Dubai Chapter?

Whether you've been here for years or you just arrived, the SKEMA Alumni Dubai Chapter is so much more than just a network. It's an engaged and caring community, a place where every conversation can open up new possibilities. With the opening of the campus, many initiatives will be launched, offering unique opportunities to get together, build relationships, and contribute to SKEMA's standing in the region.
Joining the club is also a way to help new students and graduates find their place and make their mark in this dynamic region. So come and share your experiences, learn from others and, why not, develop new collaborations or projects around an inspiring discussion!
