Emeline Wanctin (SKEMA 2022), Ambassador of the Luxembourg Chapter
Could you tell us a little about your journey since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador of the SKEMA Alumni Luxembourg Chapter?
I graduated from SKEMA in 2022 with a Master’s degree in Business Contracts. At the end of my studies, I decided to move to Luxembourg to work in the consulting department of a law firm, Arendt & Medernach. This first experience allowed me to build on my skills in a challenging international environment. I then joined EY Consulting, where I now support our clients on assignments at the intersection of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and digital issues, a job with a strong regulatory component.
This career path inspired me to become an ambassador for the local Luxembourg chapter. I’m a firm believer in the importance of human connections and mutual support, and I wanted to contribute to raising SKEMA's profile while at the same time helping alumni and recent graduates to integrate into this dynamic market.
As ambassador, how do you plan to bring energy and life to the Luxembourg chapter? Can you share any ideas for initiatives or for events you’d like to run?
We are fortunate to have a large community of SKEMA alumni in Luxembourg, and our aim is to mobilise this network to foster real connections, both professional and personal. One the one hand, we plan to organise some informal events to encourage friendly interaction and make it easier for members to meet and get to know each other, and on the other hand, we also want to run more targeted events on topics chosen to promote professional development.
Without giving away all the details, we’re thinking of conferences on topical and cross-industry themes that could interest professionals from different sectors and create synergies. This would strengthen exchanges and mutual support within the network by bringing together alumni from different professions to discuss common issues.
What message would you like to send to our alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the SKEMA Alumni Luxembourg Chapter?
As a recent graduate, joining the Luxembourg chapter has been a fantastic opportunity to meet people with different profiles and receive valuable advice from more experienced alumni. Luxembourg is home to an active community of SKEMA alumni and getting involved in the chapter is an excellent way to build relationships, whether you're new to the city or have been here for some time.
Joining this dynamic network can enhance your prospects, help you develop professionally, and give you the chance to establish new friendships and potential collaborations. The Luxembourg Chapter is here to welcome you and help you move forward together!
