Philanthropy: a year of impact
Over a million euros raised and hundreds of destinies accelerated: this is the result of a year marked by the generosity of the SKEMA community. This extraordinary success is due to the unwavering support of our alumni, students, parents, friends and corporate partners, who helped to fund a number of high-impact projects. We take a look back at the key initiatives of 2024.
Your donations in actionÂ
Â
Here's how your generosity made a difference this year:
- The scholarship programme: equal opportunities for all
Giving makes this possible. Thanks to donations from SKEMA’s alumni, talented students have been able to get the education they deserve, instead of being held back by financial barriers. Each year, more than 700 talented students benefit from this programme.
- The SKEMA Entrepreneurs incubator: driving innovation
Partially funded by sponsorship, the incubator continues to drive the launch of startups, address current challenges and shape the future of business. In 2024, 50 startups were incubated and 20 projects were accelerated thanks to a team of 100 experts and mentors.Â
- SKEMA Alumni for Good: actions that benefit society
Projects with a strong social and environmental impact are supported with the aim of encouraging the student community to get involved. In Togo and Madagascar, their humanitarian missions helped to build schools.Â
- Mission Possible: an educational journey to the heart of the ecological transition
In 2025, ten students will cross the Atlantic from Le Havre to New York on a wind-powered cargo ship. This will be a unique educational adventure at the heart of the ecological transition. The project explores innovative solutions for low-carbon travel and reflects SKEMA's forward-looking approach to sustainability.
Key philanthropy figuresÂ
Thanks to you, we raised over €1 million in 2024:Â
- Almost €150,000 from alumni, parents and friends of the schoolÂ
- €342,000 in pledges through the SKEMA Alumni for Good campaignÂ
- €529,683 in corporate support
These funds directly contributed to supporting the students and developing innovative and sustainable projects.

Spotlight on the scholarship programme
Â
SKEMA is committed to promoting equal opportunity, whatever the social or geographical background of the students applying for its support. The programme offers two types of scholarships:Â
- Merit-based scholarships: these reward the best students for their academic performance or entrance exam results. They are awarded based on academic excellence and individual achievement.Â
- Needs-based scholarships: reserved for students receiving a government grant. The amounts awarded are indexed to the CROUS scales.Â
In addition to providing financial support, SKEMA mobilises people skills to develop its students’ social capital, which is essential to their academic and professional success.Â
Â
👉 Our goal: to raise 6 million euros to offer full-tuition scholarships.Â
Â
Supporting entrepreneurship in 2024
Â
In 2024, the SKEMA incubator received more than 250 applications, incubated 50 startups and accelerated 20 projects. With a 91% survival rate after three years, these initiatives demonstrate the entrepreneurial dynamism of alumni and students.
Â
Examples of success stories:
- Vadim Levan, ESDHEM student and founder of My Shirt FC
- Ismaël Achour (SKEMA 2022), co-founder of Coco's.Â
These entrepreneurs are among the winners of the Pépite Lille programme, benefiting from support for their crowdfunding campaigns and increased visibility through posters, bus shelters and social media campaigns, for example.
Â
The SKEMA Loyalty Club: honouring our loyal donors
Â
Set up in 2023, the SKEMA Loyalty Club honours donors who have been supporting the school for many years. They play a key role in SKEMA's mission and train talented individuals who are committed to creating a more sustainable world.
Â
The SKEMA Loyalty Club in numbers:Â
- 116 members on 1 September 2024
The club is made up of donors who have contributed for at least two consecutive financial years. Membership and recognition continue as long as annual support is maintained.
Every donation, regardless of the amount, has the power to change lives. The SKEMA Loyalty Club recognises this ongoing commitment, which is essential to furthering the school's philanthropic goals.Â
Â
