Amaury Dumetz (SKEMA 2019), Ambassador of the Project Management Business Club

21 November 2024 Interview

Could you briefly tell us about your career since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador for the Club Métier Management de Projets?

Since graduating in 2019, I have spent three years as a "4G/5G deployment project manager and decarbonation ambassador" consultant for Bouygues Telecom in Lille, followed by a year as a "continuous improvement project manager" consultant for Leroy Merlin, also in Lille. After six months as Operations Director for Jody Cavalie in Dubai, I have been Senior Program Manager for the Office de la Naissance et de l'Enfance in Brussels since January 2025.

My motivation for becoming an ambassador for the Club Métier Management de Projet is rooted in my desire to share moments of pleasure and transmission around professional subjects that are close to me on a daily basis, and to meet people with the same interest in the discipline of project management. Of course, I also want to contribute to the SKEMA alumni network.
How do you plan to energize and enliven the Project Management Club of which you are an ambassador? Can you share a few ideas for events or initiatives you'd like to put in place?

Together with Johan Mallet, the other club ambassador, I'd like to organize a series of events around project management at Projexion (an ESN based in Lille), then tackle the theme of mega-projects at the end of the school year. To energize the club, we'd like to be able to share events with Paris and Brussels.

What message would you like to pass on to alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the Project Management Trade Club?

Joining the Project Management Trade Club means becoming part of a dynamic community of like-minded professionals. It's a great opportunity to expand your network and exchange best practices, all in a simple, fun atmosphere.
