Johan Mallet (SKEMA 2009), Ambassador of the Project Management business club
Since 2009, I've been working as an independent consultant specializing in project and program management. My main role is to support companies undergoing transformation, by providing them with the tools and methodology they need to secure their high-stakes projects.
Alongside my consulting work, I also teach on the SKEMA Lille and Grand Paris campuses. These teaching experiences enable me to share my expertise with students, while keeping abreast of new trends and practices in the field of project management.
Becoming an ambassador for the Project Management Club is a natural step for me. It allows me to contribute to the dynamics of the SKEMA Alumni network by meeting young graduates and experienced professionals who share common interests. It's also a great opportunity to enrich my own network, exchange ideas and build links around our shared passion for project management.
How do you plan to energize and enliven the Project Management Club of which you are an ambassador? Could you share a few ideas for events or initiatives you'd like to set up?
For several years now, I've been co-hosting project management events in the Lille region. These initiatives have helped create a community that is committed to and interested in contemporary project management issues.
For this year and next, a number of event ideas are already in the pipeline:
- Megaprojects: exploring the specificities and challenges of managing large-scale projects.
- Professions and statuses in project management: a focus on the different career opportunities in this field, whether as a freelancer, an employee or a project manager.
- Sharing experiences: invite alumni or experts to share their experiences and success stories in managing complex projects.
- Thematic workshops: organize interactive sessions on specific tools (such as Agile, Prince2 or PMI), or on issues such as stakeholder management or project risks.
The aim of these initiatives is to offer convivial moments of exchange, while bringing real added value to participants.
What message would you like to pass on to alumni, encouraging them to join and become actively involved in the Project Management Club?
This club represents a fantastic opportunity for alumni to take a step back from their daily professional lives, while gaining new perspectives. By taking part in club events, you'll be able toexchange ideas with other passionate professionals, expand your network, discover innovative practices, andshare your own experience.
Project management is a constantly evolving field. Joining the club means not only taking part in a collective adventure, but also actively contributing to the building of a strong, supportive community focused on excellence. Come, share, learn and inspire others!
