Henri Bervick (SKEMA 2010), Ambassador of the SKEMA Alumni Entrepreneurs Club

Could you tell us a little about your journey since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador of the SKEMA Alumni Entrepreneurs Club?

I joined SKEMA in 2006 after completing an undergraduate diploma in Business and Administration Management (DUT GEA, now BUT GEA), and I'm a graduate of the class of 2010. During my time at SKEMA, I did a placement year to gain more work experience. I did a double degree: in addition to the Grande École programme, I completed a Master CCA (Accounting, Control and Auditing) in partnership with Lille 2.

Since graduating, I've always maintained strong ties with SKEMA. I've regularly attended alumni events and recently had the opportunity to give a talk for the MSc programme. When the opportunity to relaunch the Entrepreneurs Club after the COVID crisis presented itself, Audrey won me over with her enthusiasm and ideas. Doing it as a team added to my motivation, because it's a collaborative and stimulating project.

As ambassador, how do you plan to bring energy and life to the Entrepreneurs Club? Can you share any ideas for initiatives or for events you’d like to run?

My ambition is to offer a variety of events that explore all facets of the life of an entrepreneur. Each event would be an opportunity to cover a specific topic: the birth of a project, finding funding, managing growth, or even selling a business. There's no shortage of topics to learn about and cover.

I dream of creating a big annual event for SKEMA alumni entrepreneurs. It could bring together as many alumni entrepreneurs as possible to talk about the challenges specific to their profession and to share their experiences. The idea would be to create a space for discussion, mutual support and inspiration around entrepreneurship.

What message would you like to send to our alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the SKEMA Alumni Entrepreneurs Club?

Joining the club is a great opportunity to meet people who can transform your entrepreneurial journey. You'll discover new perspectives, benefit from a supportive environment in which to exchange ideas, and learn far more than you can imagine.
