Quentin Perbet-Verniau (SKEMA 2011), Ambassador of the Nantes Chapter
Could you tell us a little about your journey since graduating from SKEMA Business School and what motivated you to become an ambassador of the SKEMA Alumni Nantes Chapter?
I graduated from the Grande École programme in 2011, specialising in business law on the Lille campus. I then passed the entrance exam for the École des Avocats (Law School), which I attended in Rennes. I was sworn in as a lawyer in 2013.
My professional experience includes working in law firms in Rennes, in the Atlanta area (USA), in Paris, then in Nantes. I joined Parthema in 2016 and became a partner in 2023. Today, I mainly support start-ups and SMEs (located for the most part in Western France and Paris) in company law, covering areas such as legal advice, mergers and acquisitions, financing (in particular fundraising), and business structuring.
When I arrived in Nantes, I felt the need to reconnect with SKEMA, a school I had somewhat lost touch with during my legal training. A local chapter had just been set up in Nantes. I attended one of the first events and quickly volunteered to become an ambassador. I completed the Grande École programme in 2011, specialising in business law at the Lille campus. It was then that I met Audrey, who supported me and with whom we are working to rebuild and maintain links with the alumni in Nantes.
As ambassador, how do you plan to bring energy and life to the Nantes chapter? Can you share any ideas for initiatives or for events you’d like to run?
After the COVID hiatus, the Nantes chapter had to be relaunched. Our recent events, and the last one in particular, have helped to revitalise the chapter. Our aim is to keep up this momentum by organising a variety of regular events, to bring together as many alumni as possible and encourage exchanges and networking.
What message would you like to send to our alumni to encourage them to join and become actively involved in the SKEMA Alumn Nantes Chapter?
If you've enjoyed the recent alumni get-togethers in Nantes, come and help us create new high-quality, social events! Your contribution will help grow our network and enrich the experience for everyone.
